Discover Canada with me 📌…

Hi there!!! I’m a mom of two, immigrant, and now a proud Canadian citizen living in Ontario. I’ve survived snowstorms, ice storms, PA Days, Soccer tournaments, waiting in an Emergency Room and even driving in Downtown Toronto.😅

Here, I want to share what I’ve learned (and keep learning!) about life in Canada — especially when it comes to education, family life, and navigating it all specially as a mom!

If you’re looking for honest insights, practical tips, and real-life stories that go beyond the official websites and social media snapshots… you’re in the right place!✅

Let’s walk this journey together — with heart ❤, humor 😄, and lots of learning 🙌.

📌This is a huge country! Canada is the second-largest country in the world (only after Russia), but still with very low population for such a large territory... 41.5M (as of January 2025)
📌English and French are the official languages. BUT, did you know that more than 200 languages are spoken in Canada?
📌Sorry, but we say "sorry" A LOT! you just catch it... and there's nothing you can do about it!😄
📌We have more lakes than you can count! It is said we have like 2 millions lakes! and that is including 4 of the 5 Great Lakes.
📌We have the longest coastline and the longest land border as well!
📌Our favorites: Maple Syrup🍁, Hockey 🏒, Poutine 🤤 and Tim Horton's ☕! You know you're truly Canadian when you hold the door for a stranger and order a "double-double"!
📌The national animal is, believe it or not, a beaver! Yes, I know... but even though Canada is known for its bears and moose, let's not forget about the geese (which by the way think they own the country), the racoons and skunks, just to mention a few... 😏
📌Thanksgiving is in October
📌Yes, it's REALLY cold ! But in summer is SUPER hot🔥
📌Milk in bags. It still gets to me!
